Just another story

I would just like to dedicate this blog post to a special someone in my life. I was just reading my past blog posts and there I read one post of mine about that someone from the past and then I smiled. I smiled because it reminded me that it was never my loss. Instead, it reminded me that I still gained something from it. And that something was a valuable lesson for me; a lesson that will always tell me that you should never let yourself lose.  People, they just come and go, but sometimes, in an unexpected situation and God's perfect time, they choose to stay. And I’m glad to tell you guys that I have someone right now who chose to stay with me despite of my messed-up situation. God really has a purpose on everything that is happening to you, whether it is good or bad. You just need to make sure that when someone chose to stay with you, you also need to make an effort for it. No matter how damned your situation, try to fix it. Try to put everything in its right places. You have to start with yourself. When he came into my life, I really don’t know what will happen to us, because I was so stuck in a thought that my life is pretty messed up and I don’t deserve someone as of the moment. But life is a choice, and I chose to move on and tried fixing it little by little. I really want to thank him for helping me to make a big shift in my life. Thanking him for helping me realize that the people who went out of your life still helped us along the road of our lives. Don’t waste your tears. The people around you do not have the control to create your happiness. They simply have the opportunity to share in your happiness. Your joy lies within you. But don’t forget too that there is still someone who will make your lives even brighter. I’m happy I already found my someone who will make my life more colorful than ever.

I am now heading to something better while with someone better
Thank you and I love you Jose Antonio Martin Cruz.

Getting back

It has been a while since I wrote here in my electronic diary. Many things/ events already happened for the past two months. My highlight for September would be when I went to Ilocos region for our exposure trip in Services Marketing. The place was incredibly awesome and the people of Ilocos were so hospitable and very polite to the tourists. The thing about Ilocos is that the place has a hot weather because the region is considered a “low-land”. But it is all worth it because again, the place is awesome and I am with my awesome friends. I bought also some goodies from Ilocos for my family. By the way, if you will go to Ilocos, you should try their famous “Bangget”, Vigan Longganisa and Sukang Ilocos. The travel time going to Ilocos (by land) from Manila is about 8-12 hours depending on how many stopovers you will stop by. We stayed there for almost 3 and a half day. The overall experience was definitely fun, tiring but I will surely go back there someday.

Well, my October was sort of a stressful month for me because of school works and other “stuffs”. It is the final month for my second to the last semester of my college life. And wow, that was fast! I only have one last semester to take then I am off from my bittersweet college life. Last October 26 was my first time to attend the Philippine Fashion Week (Luxewear Collection) and I could say that we have great Filipino Designers. October 31, I took my Registered Marketing Professional certification examination and I am hoping that I could pass it so I can have the bragging rights as a Registered Marketing Professional. As of today, I am enjoying my sembreak and I only have almost one week left to enjoy it. I could say that my start of November was good because of a guy who recently painting a smile on my face. Thanks to him and of course, to Almighty God for He never fails to bless me and my family.

I will end this entry with one of my favorite movie quotes:

“Every day above ground is a good day”

P.S.

I also recommend you to watch the movie Scarface (starring Al Pacino). A very good and classic movie!

The Dark Knight Rises

This has been a long day for me. I went to Alabang Town Center hoping that I and my companion could watch "Batman:The Dark Knight Rises" in most convenient way. But of course, as I expected, this is a blockbuster movie and today is a weekend, many people will surely watch this movie in a movie house despite of the bad weather. So we decided to go to Resorts World Manila to watch the movie there.

Well I could say that the Batman:The Dark Knight Rises was an awesome movie (I also love Batman Begins and Batman: The Dark Knight) Not to mention Anne Hathaway's hotness especially when she rode in Batman's motor vehicle. The Dark Knight Rises is a film directed by Christopher Nolan, who co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Jonathan Nolan and the story with David S. Goyer. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, The Dark Knight Rises is the third installment in Nolan's Batman film series, and is a sequel to Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight(2008). The Dark Knight Rises is intended to be the conclusion of the series. Starring Christian BaleMichael CaineGary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon- Levitt and Tom Hardy.

What I love about this movie is at the ending part, Nolan kept the audience more excited! Oh you should watch it!

Animal Love

In this entry, I just want to share you my pet-lover side. Here are some of the captured moments of my favorite pets during my not-so-busy days

This was my dog Prince who died on June 30, 2011. I missed him so much especially when I see someone carrying/having their own Pug. :/

Another picture of Prince.

Our adopted cat, Shoeshine. Who is now a proud mother of 3 cute kittens.

When they were so little

Maldita, a female half Pomeranian-half Duchshund.

How bout a jump shot of a Persian cat named Garfield?

Well, that's it for now. I hope you enjoyed my photos! :) Continue to love animals! Peace!

Magic Mike

It was July 11, 2012 when I and my friends decided to watch this not-so-loud movie (unlike the most awaited Batman: The Dark Knight Rises), "Magic Mike" starring Channing TatumAlex PettyferMatthew McConaugheyCody HornOlivia MunnJoe ManganielloKevin Nash, and Matt Bomer. The film is based in party by the experiences of Channing Tatun, who was a 19-year old stripper in Tampa back then.

I can say that Channing Tatum here raised the standard of women. He is really a good dancer. And he is really hot here, not to mention the another real hottie here, Alex Pettyfer which makes the movie more exciting. This movie is not all about the sexy men dancing and teasing women to earn money. This is also about life and how can one decides for his life to change. At the end part of the movie, Mike decided that he just had enough and left the club. And I think on this part, this where the career of Channing Tatum as an actor started. And what he sacrificed, the fast-money work system, lead to a better life for him. Because now, he is a famous actor, handsome, talented and a real hottie. ** <3

The Shawshank Redemption

"In 1966, Andy Dufresne escaped from Shawshank prison. All they found of him was a muddy set of prison clothes, a bar of soap, and an old rock hammer, damn near worn down to the nub. I remember thinking it would take a man six hundred years to tunnel through the wall with it. Old Andy did it in less than twenty. Oh, Andy loved geology. I imagine it appealed to his meticulous nature. An ice age here, million years of mountain building there. Geology is the study of pressure and time. That's all it takes really, pressure, and time. That, and a big goddamn poster. Like I said, in prison a man will do most anything to keep his mind occupied. Turns out Andy's favorite hobby was totin' his wall out into the exercise yard, a handful at a time."
-Red

I'm not a fan of prison films coz hey I'm a girl. I would rather watch chick flicks or romance or whatever it is that could make me feel good. But I came across this movie and found it in the top spot of every "Top Ten Greatest Movies" list. It got me curious.

And so I watched it...
.
.
.
.
I have never imagined myself in the confines of prison a cell, much more living the rest of my life in there. Andy Dufresne (doofrain) was convicted of murdering his wife and her lover. He will serve two life sentences. And then, Andy did what any convict did. He followed rules. He had a routine. He was a prisoner. He made friends. He kept himself busy. He did so because he believed that he was innocent and in fact he is.

I almost forgot that I'm watching a movie. I saw how a man brought hope to other people. I saw the true meaning of friendship. I saw redemption. It was simple yet the effect was extraordinary. It was beautifully written, beautifully presented and beautifully told. This is the type of film that needs no special effects. It's just people talking, having liberal conversations about life. After all, it didn't won an Oscar. This is beyond that, beyond a movie. This is something much more to a simple cinematic film. This has a story; a good one, a deep one. This is a film that will forever be etched in the minds and hearts of everyone who watched it and who will watch it in the future. It will forever give hope. And to anyone who will ask me what's a good movie, I'll always tell you to watch The Shawshank Redemption.

** The Shawshank Redemption is a 1994 American drama film written and directed byFrank Darabont and starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman.

The fierceness within.

It was a hot Sunday Morning (07.08.12) when my best friend called me thru the phone. His friend, Anton, who is a photographer is in need of models for a photo shoot that happens to be on that day also , and Anton needs the model as soon as possible. Well, basically, I only have less than 2 minutes to think about it but still, I said yes. So I got up and went straight to my best friend's place where Anton will pick us. I thought at first that it was like a joke-kind-of-thing photo shoot (that's why in the first place, i said yes about it) but I was wrong. It was an editorial shoot showcasing the gowns/clothes made by designer Ela dela Vega Santos who has a clothing line named Nuevo Ystilo at Kultura which is available in SM Department Stores. The worst part of it is, i waited so long before I had my make-up on because they only have one make up artist at the shoot. But the best part of it is, my fabulous make up, the fabulous team, and the fabulous me! Yes, if you want to be feel fierce, start feeling fierce! As Christian Siriano says, Ρroject Runway Season 1 Winner, "Some clothes wear the person and some people wear the clothes". I am not a professional model but what I learned yesterday was even if the clothes you are wearing/modelling is not one of your comfort zones, learn how to wear it, feel fierce about it and eventually, the result will be at its best! And by the way, I so love the photos because even if I'm not that comfortable with what I wore yesterday, I did my best to feel fierce about it. <3

Here's a sneak peek!

Let me share you some of my favorite fearless tips by Christian Siriano:

"Even if something seems out of your league or out of the ordinary, be bold and go for it."

"Take your focus away from the negative and focus on what's positive and what's fabulous. The more you do that, the more fierce you will feel!"

"Feeling fierce isn't about just being cool, confident, and good at what you do. Fierceness is also built from being tough and withstanding the critics"

And lastly, read "Fierce Style" by Christian Siriano for more self- empowering and fashion tips!
This is a good book I promise!

Half empty half full

It has been a long time since I wrote a blog. Well, not that I'm saying that I'm doing this for the sake of having a requirement for my Internet Marketing Subject, but I think blogging is one of the best outlet whenever you feel happy, sad, broken- hearted, f***ed up and so forth and so on.

To start with, I am now on my 4th (and hopefully last) year in college and I think I should now do all my best and live it to the fullest. My schedule for this semester is just right for me, now that I should avoid being too much stressed and I should have a stronger immune system because of my illness that I discovered lately (let us not talk about it anyway). My faith became stronger because of our Almighty God and the people who surrounds me and never fails to make me feel that life is better if we always look into the brighter side of it.

If you want positive things to happen in your life, always think of it and you'll eventually attract the positive things in life. Let me end this entry with a statement that was mentioned in the book "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne and it is a book worth reading so I will highly recommend it to you guys.

"Think of the law of attraction as the law of supply. It is the law that enables you to draw from the infinite supply. When you emit the perfect frequency of what you want, the perfect people, circumstances and events will be attracted to you and delivered."
